Last Travel Weekend to Croatia
May 23rd Posted by Grace Evans
Our last travel weekend, myself and 7 other students made our way to Croatia. We’d wanted to visit Plitvice National Park, the place with the beautiful lakes, all semester and finally made the trip down. As we took a bus to Zagreb, I was so glad that this was going to be our last weekend trip. The views out the bus window were beautiful. It had just started to get warm a few weeks prior...

Responding to Change
Apr 15th Posted by Grace Evans
Since I’ve been traveling, I’ve learned that not every single trip I will go on will run smoothly. No matter how much planning my friends and I do, there is bound to be something that goes wrong, or a plan that gets altered. Just the other day, a train trip we thought would take a mere five hours ended up being closer to nine. We discovered the schedules had been updated last minute, and fortunately...

A Nordic Weekend Abroad
Mar 23rd Posted by Grace Evans
Norway was one of my more recent destinations of my weekend travels and it was beautiful. Snow covered landscapes and picturesque views filled my time there. Norway was one place that we could not take a train to, so we flew. Technically, a train is possible; it just would have taken way too long for the short amount of time we had to go. A Weekend In Poland

Before our trip, we all read the book Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. We also watched the movie “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” as well as...

HERE maps Free This is one app I really can’t leave the house without using. HERE maps is a GPS that can...

Lipscomb's newest Global Learning destination Florence Italy

Lipscomb gives students many diverse options for their study abroad experience. You can go experience the mountains and beaches Chile has to offer, or experience European culture and languages such as Italian and German in Italy or Austria, respectively. You can even experience the great city of London and see where royalty lives. Italy is the newest option for Lipscomb students; it is only in its second semester as a study abroad destination. The group...

Lipscomb students, meet Vienna!
Feb 05th Posted by Grace Evans
We made it to Vienna, and wow, what a beautiful city! We’ve been walking around the city for the past few days and though we’ve seen a lot, there is definitely a lot more to explore. We have become familiar with the church near our house, and it’s a helpful landmark that has helped us navigate the neighborhood in the first few days. If we can find the church, we can find our way home....
